Island Mountain
Posted Dec 1, 2011 – Kiska Continues to Expand Gold Zones at Island Mountain Prospect, Whistler Project, Alaska Vancouver, BC — December 1, 2011: Kiska Metals Corporation ("Kiska" or "the Company") reports final drill results from the Island Mountain prospect, Whistler Project, located 160 km northwest of Anchorage, Alaska. Results include hole IM11-040, which averaged 0.84g/t gold equivalent (0.53g/t gold, 3.55g/t silver and 0.13% copper) over 364 metres, including a higher grade interval that averages 1.05 g/t gold equivalent (0.62g/t gold, 6.36g/t silver, 0.17% copper) over 141 metres. All six of the final holes reported herein returned significant grades and widths of gold-copper mineralization, capping off a highly successful season of drilling at Island Mountain. 2011 Exploration at the Island Mountain prospect will be conducted in two phases. First an exploration program will start with a detailed airborne magnetic geophysical survey to help refine drill targets and highlight new target areas in preparation for drilling. This work will follow up the successes of 2010 drilling including drill hole IM10-013 which intersected a 114.9 metre interval averaging 1.25 g/t gold, 4.0 g/t silver and 0.23% copper, beginning at a depth of 50.1 metres. This interval was contained within a much larger drill intercept of 362.0 metres averaging 0.56 g/t gold, 2.0 g/t silver, and 0.11% copper beginning at a depth of 42.0 metres. Detailed mapping and surface sampling has identified several new breccia outcrops that extend over a minimum 700 metre-long trend approximately 450 metres in width and open in all directions. Two drill rigs will be mobilized to complete 11,000 metres of drilling at Island Mountain. One drill will be dedicated to expanding on a section-by-section basis mineralized zones identified in 2010. The second drill will focus on step out drilling to expand Island Mountain mineralization, to conduct reconnaissance drill testing of early stage surface and geochemical targets defined in 2010 as well as additional targets elsewhere on the property such as Muddy Creek, a gold target where 150 rock samples averaged 4.72 g/t gold over an irregular 3.2 km by 3.3 km area. Raintree WestPosted Nov 29, 2011 – Drilling Intersects 453.2 metres averaging 0.72 g/t Gold, 3.2 g/t Silver and 0.12% Copper at Raintree West Prospect, Whistler Project, Alaska Kiska Metals Corporation ("Kiska" or "the Company") reports the remaining drill results from the summer Whistler Orbit-area drill program that includes holes from the Rainmaker, Raintree West, Raintree South and Dagwood areas at the Whistler Project, 160 km northwest of Anchorage, Alaska. Exploration in 2011 led to the identification and definition of four distinct porphyry centres proximal to the Whistler Deposit. Reconnaissance and shallow scout drilling has also revealed new and highly prospective target areas for the 2012 exploration season. Results from the remaining six holes from the highly successful Island Mountain drill program and three holes from Muddy Creek will be published in early December. With the discovery hole at Raintree East (WH10-008), Kiska has identified a new and distinct porphyry centre within the Raintree area. This hole tested a geophysical target located approximately 3 kilometres northeast of the multi-million ounce Whistler gold-copper resource, intersecting 0.42 g/t gold, 1.3 g/t silver and 0.1% copper over 90 metres beginning at a depth of 150 metres. Mineralization, similar to that seen at the Whistler resource, occurs in low density sheeted to stockwork quartz-chalcopyrite-pyrite veins hosted in andesitic volcanics. Two holes drilled in 2006 and 2008, located 500 metres to the south on the same geophysical feature, also intersected porphyry-style mineralization and returned encouraging results. These results, in the context of the new geophysical IP data, show the potential for a 700 metre footprint to this new and relatively untested porphyry target. . Two additional holes in the Raintree area (WH10-004 and WH10-006) also indicate the presence of new porphyry systems. The Raintree North hole (WH10-004), located 1.25 km west-northwest from the Raintree East collar and 2 km northeast of the Whistler resource intersected strong peripheral-style alteration along its total length. The Red North hole (WH10-006), located 2 km southwest of Raintree North and 2.75 km east of the Whistler resource also intersected strong peripheral-style alteration including broad intervals of hydrothermal breccia and abundant gypsum veining. Both of these features are proximal porphyry indicators, but more specifically show a close association to gold-copper mineralization at the Whistler resource and Raintree West zones. To date Kiska's drilling within the 3 by 3 kilometre Raintree area has identified two centres of porphyry gold-copper mineralization and two areas of peripheral-style alteration related to as-yet-to-be identified porphyry centres. WH10-24 was drilled 100 metres south of WH09-02, which returned an intercept of 471.6 metres averaging 0.38 g/t gold, 4.7 g/t silver, 0.09% copper, 0.15% lead and 0.35% zinc. The hole was drilled to the west returning a 299 metre interval of 0.47 g/t gold, 5.4 g/t silver, 0.04% copper, 0.23% lead and 0.51% zinc highlighted by a subinterval that returned 83.0 metres of 1.20 g/t gold, 11.8 g/t silver, 0.06% copper, 0.53% lead and 1.08% zinc. This mineralization is dominated by lead-zinc-bearing veinlets interpreted as late-stage features developed peripheral to high temperature porphyry style mineralization. Two additional holes were completed at Raintree West. Both were collared east of holes WH10-24 and WH09-02 and drilled to the west intersecting a large fault zone that may bound or offset mineralization to the east. No significant results were returned from these holes. View more information: Additional Maps & Figures | Data Tables Additional Maps & Figures

Raintree NorthPosted Oct 17, 2011 – Kiska Releases 2011 Drilling Results from Raintree North Prospect, Whistler Project, Alaska Holes WH11-037 and WH11-038 targeted the down-dip extents of mineralization earlier reported from holes WH11-032 (80.0 m averaging 0.31 g/t gold, 0.14% copper) and WH11-034 (79.3 m averaging 0.57 g/t gold, 0.19% copper), which now defines mineralization extending from surface to a depth of greater than 500 metres. Mineralization is largely confined to a body of Whistler-type diorite porphyry associated with potassic alteration and stockwork chalcopyrite-bearing quartz and magnetite veining. Mineralization is coincident with magnetic high and a halo of strong chargeability. WH11-035, 040, 041 did not return significant intersections. "Raintree North, identified through our reconnaissance drilling program this spring, is one of five blind porphyry targets hidden beneath glacial till cover in the Whistler Orbit area," comments Jason Weber, President and CEO of Kiska Metals. "Evidence such as the large and intense geochemical and alteration halo defined by shallow grid drilling, and breadth of induced polarization response suggests that the Raintree North is one within a cluster of mineralized porphyry centres. Our refinement of the exploration model and continued improvement of our exploration techniques will make us even more effective in finding more blind porphyry centres." Hole WH11-032, at the new Raintree North prospect, 2.2 km northeast of the Whistler Deposit, intersected 82.6 metres averaging 0.31 g/t gold, 1.1 g/t silver and 0.13% copper. This drill hole targeted gold and copper mineralization encountered in the shallow grid drilling program conducted this spring (see news release dated May 03, 2011). Mineralization was intersected from the bedrock\overburden interface and is associated with moderate to strong high temperature potassic alteration of Whistler-type diorite porphyry. This drill hole is significant as it validates the shallow grid drilling technique and has identified mineralization that remains open in all directions. Information derived from this drill hole will be used to define vectors to locate higher grade mineralization. Hole WH11-031, drilled 250 metres east of WH11-032 did not return any significant results. View more information: Additional Maps & Figures | Data Tables Additional Maps & FiguresUpdated Sep 2, 2011

Muddy Creek
Posted December 15, 2011-Vancouver, BC: Kiska Metals Corporation ("Kiska" or "the Company") reports drill results from three reconnaissance drill holes at the Muddy Creek Prospect, Whistler Project, located 160 kilometres northwest of Anchorage, Alaska. These first three drill holes, tested the southwestern edge of a 2.4 square kilometre area of anomalous gold in soils and returned significant gold-bearing intersections.
Mineralization at Muddy Creek occurs as consistently developed sheeted veins within a five kilometre-wide diorite-monzonite intrusive complex in the south central part of the Whistler property. The prospect region is partially covered by contour soil sampling that highlights a 2.4 square kilometer area where soil samples average 2.3g/t gold and 0.06% copper. Rock samples collected within a 5.4 square kilometre area average 4.4g/t gold including select samples of individual vein zones and locally derived talus float samples.
About Muddy Creek Muddy Creek consists of seven individual prospects located approximately 8 km. south west of the Whistler Porphyry project. The prospects consist of high-grade gold-silver and base metals associated with monzonite porphyry rocks and surrounding hornfels sediments. Figure below shows the seven individual prospects with soil and rock-chip geochemistry and is underlain by the analytical signal of the magnetics.
